Wrinkles form with age. In young people, expression lines are natural, due to the contraction of facial muscles. They become more pronounced with skin aging. The appearance of deeper wrinkles is due to the loss of elasticity of the skin which lacks collagen and elastic fibers, the decrease in the volume of subcutaneous tissue (muscle, fat, bone), the sagging of tissues and the repeated contraction of muscles.

In addition to the natural aging of the skin, certain parameters can accelerate the process of skin sagging, and therefore wrinkles, such as smoking, sun, lack of skin hydration, etc.

Hyaluronic acid injections reduce the most pronounced wrinkles, visible even at rest, by restoring a natural freshness to the face. They are not performed with the aim of inflating the tissues, but rather to preserve the initial volume while respecting each person’s visible personality traits. In no case do they “freeze” the face. They make it possible to fill the reduction in volume of the subcutaneous cellular tissue thanks to a light and minimally invasive procedure. These are called filler injections.

Medical consultation

The initial consultation allows you to express your wishes and expectations. This consultation helps determine the treatment(s) best suited to your personal case and your correction wishes. The clinical examination allows us to “mimic” the results that we could obtain thanks to these treatments.

A detailed quote and an information sheet will be given to you to help you make your decision. A mandatory period of 15 days is then respected before any decision is made.

INJECTION TECHNIQUE

The injection is performed using fine, non-sharp needles and blunt microcannulas. This technique helps to limit pain and the appearance of bruising in the treated area, and prevents scarring.

Injections are performed at the subcutaneous level to regain volume, and at the superficial level in the thickness of the skin, in order to smooth the skin and fill in wrinkles.

In order to avoid the accumulation of product in certain areas, injections are carried out at regular intervals, perfectly distributed, by diffusing a small amount of product at a time. At the end of the procedure, the product is distributed using a massage of the treated area.

Tips before the session

This procedure can be performed under local anesthesia or anesthetic cream and does not require fasting. Furthermore, no examination is required before the injections.

However, it will be necessary to avoid taking medications containing Aspirin or anti-inflammatories 10 days before treatment with hyaluronic acid injections.

Course of the session

The total cost depends on the treatment(s) to be performed. The cost of an injection is 400 euros per syringe, then 350 euros per additional syringe. An aesthetic medicine procedure carried out for purely aesthetic purposes does not qualify for reimbursement from Social Security.

Post-treatment advice

This treatment is not painful and does not mark the face in its immediate aftermath. It is therefore possible to resume a normal social life the same day as the hyaluronic acid injections. The local anesthetic may still act in the hours following the treatment, causing numbness in the treated area.

A few days after hyaluronic acid injections, a slight edema may form, usually quickly resolving. Bruising is rare.

No special care is necessary. A follow-up consultation is scheduled 1 month after the injections.

Exposure to the sun is possible in the absence of marks or bruises, under the cover of sunscreen containing a high UV protection factor. On the other hand, in the event of the appearance of marks, it will be necessary to avoid exposure to the sun until they completely disappear.

RESULTS OF HYALURONIC ACID INJECTIONS

The results are immediately noticeable, but you will have to wait a week to obtain a definitive result. The skin is smoothed, the face regains a certain tone, and the appearance of the skin seems plumped up thanks to the moisturizing action of hyaluronic acid.

Injections can be repeated after one or two years, as the filler provides long-lasting action.

RISKS AND COMPLICATIONS

Any medical procedure involves risks. However, complications following hyaluronic acid injections are extremely rare. An allergic reaction may occur exceptionally.

Hyacorp is an ultra-cross-linked acid that allows injections to correct the silhouette (buttocks, calves, etc.).
