The PLEXR is an aesthetic medicine device that can treat drooping upper eyelids in a non-invasive way, without surgery. It is an extremely precise technique that acts locally on the skin tissue to remove excess in order to treat the sagging, responsible for the tired appearance of the drooping eyelid, all without damaging the surrounding tissues.
Explanation
Plexr relies on thermal sublimation of tissues to generate the skin retraction that lifts the eyelid.

The advantages of Plexr
Plexr is a medical treatment performed in the office. There is no hospitalization. A simple anesthetic cream is applied half an hour before the session on the area to be treated. The treatment does not cause any incisions or scars, does not cause bleeding or discoloration.
Plexr makes possible through aesthetic medicine certain treatments that could not previously be performed with lasers or injections.
How Plexr works
Plexr is the short name for Plasma Exérèse. The device delivers a slight electric current by ionizing the gases present in the air, creating a small voltaic arc that will allow very precisely to “vaporize” by sublimation tiny quantities of skin to generate a controlled retraction of the skin tissues.
This current called plasma sublimates the tissues without contact by simply being brought within a millimeter of the surface to be treated. It is the heat that is responsible for the superficial elimination of the horny layer of the skin.
The Plexr handpiece looks like a stylet with a fine needle at its end that delivers the electric arc. This allows the doctor to work with precision using micro spots deposited in a line or in a staggered pattern.
Explanation
How does a Plexr session take place?
The session lasts on average 20 to 30 minutes, to which must be added the application of an anesthetic cream 30 minutes beforehand.
Doctor Dumas passes the Plexr handpiece over the area to be treated, the sublimation of the tissues is done by a succession of very precise electric micro spots which superficially heat the skin without touching it. The patient feels a sensation of heat which is not painful. Thanks to this operation, Doctor Dumas can precisely direct the retraction of the skin.
Depending on the amount of excess skin, several sessions (1 to 4) may be required to obtain the desired result. Sessions are spaced at least 1 month apart.

Result

Results are achieved quickly after treatment within about a week. They are often spectacular and always natural.
The after-effects are marked by the appearance of some redness and micro-scabs where the electric spots were brought close to the skin. These small brown dots will be visible for a good week. On the face, they can be camouflaged with makeup after a few days. A professional avoidance of 2 to 3 days is therefore preferable. Over the course of a few days, these small scabs will dry, turn white and fall off, disappearing completely after a week.
Apart from these small scabs, the treatment does not have any side effects except for the treatment of the eyelids which can also cause edema (in around 30% of cases). This will resolve within 2 to 3 days.
It is necessary to completely prohibit any exposure to the sun after treatment and for one month. Tanned skin and black skin cannot benefit from treatment with Plexr.
Eye conditions such as glaucoma, chronic keratitis, blepharitis or eyelid dermatosis are also contraindications to Plexr treatment.
